"Sons Of The Suns"

Sons of the Suns is a private commission for a Dutch couple, created for their family home.

The starting point was a family of five. I translated this into five recurring lines that follow the same paths, repeatedly crossing and overlapping. Three circular movements emerge from this system, creating a composition that is constantly shifting between repetition, tension and connection.

The overlapping areas are reinforced through subtle shading, giving the work greater depth and allowing the circles to appear almost three-dimensional. The colors were developed to connect with the interior and become part of the space rather than simply occupy it.

The work can also be read as an abstract reflection of family life: five individual paths repeatedly coming together, crossing and moving apart — carrying something of the energy, tension and beautiful moments that once filled this house when the three sons were growing up.
