For Momentum, I developed a centered wall painting for the Urban Art Biennale 2024 at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklingen Ironworks. The composition is based on a section of a circle that is mirrored and overlapped at a deliberately unusual point. Here, the individual brush movements meet and intersect, creating a new visual complexity through their accumulation. A form that initially appears clear and reduced thus develops into a dynamic structure of movement, overlap, and rhythm.

I am interested in the moment when a single movement becomes a continuous rhythm. Colour overlaps, varying intensities, and recurring movements make the composition appear both contained and in constant motion. The title Momentum describes both the physical movement and the energy that builds within the work.
